Who qualifies, what to send and what happens next.
Who can apply
To set up an agency with Ratcliffes for Brokers, you need to:
- Have practised in general insurance for at least five years
- Have been operating as a business for at least two years
- Hold insurance qualifications
- Operate from professional offices
- Be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
- Complete a satisfactory agency application
- Submit your latest audited accounts
- Supply a copy of your professional indemnity (PI) insurance certificate
How to apply
If you’re a broker or intermediary looking to place business with Ratcliffes for Brokers, you’ll need to set up an agency with us.
Follow these three steps:
- Check that you meet the requirements above.
- Read our terms of business agreement and complete the agency application form. You can download both below.
- Email the completed form, your latest accounts and your PI certificate to brokers@ratcliffes.co.uk.
What next?
Once we have received your application, we will check that you qualify and refer the application to our insurance partners. Provided everything is in order, we will then make your agency live, and you will be able to place business with us.
